Commanders elevate WR Treylon Burks, DT Sheldon Day

The Washington Commanders have activated wide receiver Treylon Burks from the practice squad for the upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football. Burks, initially signed to the practice squad on October 16, had previously been with the Tennessee Titans but was waived following a collarbone fracture during training camp. Drafted 18th overall in 2022, Burks was part of a trade deal that sent A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. In his tenure with the Titans, Burks played 22 games, recording 53 receptions for 699 yards and a touchdown before an ACL injury in 2024. Burks expressed gratitude for the opportunity with Washington, citing their interest in him. Additionally, the Commanders have elevated defensive tackle Sheldon Day for his third and final game of the season, where he has contributed five tackles over the past two games.
