Dan Quinn: Daron Payne "jumps out differently" this offseason
Our Summary
Washington drafted defensive linemen in the first round from 2017-2020, but only Daron Payne remains. Despite being with the team since 2018, Payne is showing significant growth this offseason. He's been so active in practices that defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. has had to remind him to slow down. Head coach Dan Quinn has noticed a positive change in Payne's approach, calling his offseason "remarkable." The Commanders are hoping Payne's performance will help improve their defense this year.
