Report: Falcons expect Kirk Cousins to report to minicamp Tuesday
Our Summary
Kirk Cousins, who has missed most of the Falcons' voluntary offseason sessions, is expected to attend their mandatory minicamp. Though under contract, Cousins risks fines if absent without an excuse. After signing a four-year deal with Atlanta, he was replaced as starting quarterback by rookie Michael Penix last season. The Falcons plan to keep Cousins, who is guaranteed $27.5 million, as a backup. Although Cousins is not keen on staying and no trade has happened yet, a move might occur if another team faces injuries over the summer or fall.
