Trent Williams not present for start of OTAs
Our Summary
Trent Williams, the veteran left tackle for the 49ers, is absent from the start of the team's voluntary Organized Team Activities as he's training at his gym in Houston before the mandatory minicamp. Coach Kyle Shanahan mentioned that Williams had attended the early offseason program but hasn't been present in recent weeks. Williams, 36, surprisingly joined the start of the offseason program this year, which is unusual for him. Last season, he missed making the Pro Bowl for the first time since 2011 in a season he played (excluding 2019 when he didn't play) and was limited to 10 games due to an ankle injury.
